The University of Southampton Music Department is a Steering and Delivery Partner of the Southampton Music Hub.
The Music Department for the University of Southampton works in collaboration with the Southampton Music Service, to prepare students for work in a variety of volunteer teacher support roles.
The Music Department works with colleagues from the Southampton Music Hub and music teachers in Southampton schools, to design and deliver high quality music education projects enhancing National Curriculum provision.

Turner Sims Concert Hall
Turner Sims Concert Hall is a Steering and Arts Partner of the Southampton Music Hub.
Turner Sims Concert Hall contributes to the Hub by providing exposure to high quality artists and ensembles performing at TSCH. Through its national and international networks, TSCH provides progression routes for young musicians in the field of jazz education.
“Turner Sims is acknowledged as one of the finest music venues in the country. Hosting over 60 concerts a year, it attracts internationally renowned performers such as Courtney Pine, Nicola Benedetti, Hugh Masekela, Mitsuko Uchida and the Vienna Piano Trio. Situated on Southampton University’s Highfield Campus, the varied programme includes classical, jazz, folk and world music, as well as talks from personalities.”
